About the role: Are you a compassionate, patient, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with Specialism in Challenging Behaviours to join our vibrant and inclusive school in Brent, London. As an SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in challenging behaviours, you will play a vital role in supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This position requires a calm and patient individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children who may display behaviours such as running, screaming, or occasional aggression. Your ability to remain composed in challenging situations will help create a safe and positive learning environment where each child feels understood and supported.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviours.

• Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.

• Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.

• A genuine passion for helping children overcome obstacles and succeed in school.

• An understanding of safeguarding and SEN practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 or group support to children with challenging behaviours.

• Assisting with the emotional, social, and educational development of pupils.

• Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.

• Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to express themselves.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and providing guidance through difficult moments.
