About the role:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with Specialism in Challenging Behaviours to join our nurturing and dynamic team in a vibrant primary school located in the heart of Ealing, London. As an SEN TA with Specialism in Challenging Behaviours, you will play a crucial role in helping children with complex behavioural needs to thrive in their learning environment. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, using strategies tailored to individual children’s emotional and behavioural needs. You will help foster positive relationships, encourage resilience, and manage challenging situations with patience and understanding. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering you the chance to build meaningful relationships with pupils and see the direct impact of your hard work over time.

Application Requirements:

• Proven experience working as an SEN TA, particularly with children who have challenging behaviours.

• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies.

• Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor, even in difficult situations.

• Ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.

• A proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting children with challenging behaviours on a 1:1 and small group basis.

• Implementing behaviour management plans and strategies.

• Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Helping children develop social skills and emotional regulation.

• Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals when needed.
