CNC Operator/Setter

Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator/Setter to join a dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience with CNC machinery, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires managing multiple tasks and ensuring the precision and quality of manufactured parts.

Day to Day of the role:

Prepare the CMS Antares machine for operation, including tool and material selection, fixture setup, and machine configuration.
Operate the CNC machine to produce parts in line with engineering drawings and work orders, maintaining precision and accuracy.
Load and verify CNC programs, adjusting as necessary to optimise machine performance and product quality.
Monitor tool wear and replace tools as required to maintain quality and prevent downtime.
Perform first-off and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
Document production activities accurately, including manufacturing procedure sheets and inspection reports.
Troubleshoot machine operation, tool wear, and product quality issues to minimise production disruptions.
Conduct routine maintenance on the CNC machine to ensure optimal performance.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of PPE and safe handling of materials and tools.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
Engage in ongoing training to stay updated with CNC technology and quality assurance practices.Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in CNC machining is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating and setting up CNC machines, with experience on CMS Antares and Fanuc controllers being advantageous.Benefits:
