Perm role, £28,535 pa to £30,980 pa DOE, Days, 37.5hrs per week

KEIGHLEY

Interaction Recruitment are looking for experienced CNC Operator with knowledge of both Milling and Turning, to work for one of their Keighley based Manufacturing clients. Immediate starts available, permanent from day 1. There are different Pay Rates depending on whether you are a Setter/Operator or if you are a Programmer.

As a Machinist it will be your responsibility for producing machined conforming components from start to finish. This will include interpreting drawings and the quality inspection of all machined parts. Other day to day duties of this role include:

-Determine the parts required for machining.

-Interpret the drawing to identify, pick and prepare the correct material required for the operation.

-Set and operate the required CNC Machines for the parts needed

-Quality check the machined parts, ensuring they conform with tolerances, works orders and drawing specifications.

-Check, clean and maintain all Machines in use.

-Ensure production timescales are met.

-Safely move parts, ensuring the appropriate lifting tools are used and operating the overhead crane is done safely.

-Adhere to all company H&S policies and procedures.

-Any other ad hoc duties that are required.

You will need to have a minimum of 4 years CNC experience to be successful for this role and ideally have experience of both Milling and Turning. Other key requirements include:

-Experience operating CNC machines both manual and automatic

-Knowledge of Machining Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Aluminium

-Experience operating manual borer.

-Able to program machines would be beneficial

-Possess a wide knowledge and experience of machine tools

-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

-Understanding of H&S policies and procedures

-In depth knowledge of and understanding of quality

-Exposure to working with job cards

You will be required to work 37.33hrs per week, 8am to 4.25pm from Mon to Thurs and 8am to 2pm on Fridays. The role is advertised as Permanent with a Starting Pay Rates of £14.70p/hr for Setter/Operators or £15.95p/hr for programmers. Overtime is available during the week paid at time + ¼.
