Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunity | Via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a well-established Further Education provision in Leyland to recruit a Teacher of Computing to start in September 2026. This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable computing specialist looking to make a real impact in post-16 education.

The Role

You will be delivering engaging and industry-relevant computing lessons across FE courses, supporting learners to develop both technical knowledge and employability skills. The successful candidate will be confident teaching a range of computing topics, potentially including:

IT & Digital Skills
Programming (e.g. Python, Java or similar)
Cyber Security / Networking basics
Software Development or Systems
You will play an integral role in motivating students, tracking progress, and preparing learners for further study or careers within the digital sector.

The Ideal Candidate

Holds a relevant degree or qualification in Computing/IT
Teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) desirable, but not essential
Experience teaching post-16 or FE learners is advantageous
Passionate about technology and delivering high-quality teaching
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Committed to supporting student progress and outcomes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
