Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
Teach a range of Computing topics such as programming, computer science fundamentals, and digital literacy.
Plan and develop stimulating schemes of work that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and logical thinking.
Support students in developing practical IT skills alongside theoretical knowledge.
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities such as coding clubs or tech-based projects.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.

Candidate Profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching Computing at secondary level is preferred.
Strong subject knowledge in Computing.
Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
