* Be able to manage challenges and build resilience (with some support)
* Use their skills in different situations, both in and out of the classroom
* Take part in social activities and build friendships
* Learn simple planning and reflection skills
* Be able to access parts of the national curriculum
As a SEN Teacher, your role is to guide and challenge students so they can keep developing these important life and learning skills.
What You’ll Be Doing – SEN Teacher
In this SEN Teacher role, you will:
* Deliver structured and engaging lessons linked to the national curriculum
* Support independence, confidence, and everyday life skills
* Encourage communication, discussion, and social interaction
* Help students apply learning in real-life situations
* Support planning, reflection, and emotional understanding
* Create a positive and well-structured classroom environment
* Work closely with support staff and other professionals
* Celebrate progress and prepare students for their next steps as a SEN Teacher

* Has experience working with SEN, especially with more independent learners
* Is comfortable teaching structured lessons and some national curriculum content
* Can support both academic learning and personal development

* Holds QTS/QTLS (ideal for a SEN Teacher role)
