As a SEN Teacher, you’ll be working with young people who are at an early stage of communication and development. Many of the students you support will:
* Communicate through behaviour, facial expressions, and body language
* Sometimes respond to others and occasionally start interaction
* Enjoy sensory activities and exploring the world around them
* Feel more comfortable with familiar routines and structure
* Be starting to notice others and build simple connections
As a SEN Teacher, your role is to understand how each student communicates and support them in a way that works for them.
What You’ll Be Doing – SEN Teacher
In this SEN Teacher role, you will:
* Plan simple, personalised lessons that meet each student’s needs
* Use sensory activities and creative approaches to keep learners engaged
* Help students develop communication in their own way
* Build a calm, safe, and structured environment
* Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff
* Celebrate small wins and progress every day as a SEN Teacher
What We’re Looking For – SEN Teacher
We’re looking for a positive and patient SEN Teacher who:
* Has experience working with SEN or complex needs (school or similar setting)
* Understands that communication isn’t always verbal
* Is calm, flexible, and able to adapt to different situations
* Genuinely cares about supporting young people
* Holds a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS is ideal for a SEN Teacher)
