Are you a confident and motivated SEN Teacher looking for a role where you can make a real, lasting difference? Do you enjoy helping young people not just in the classroom, but in building life skills like confidence, resilience, and independence? We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a supportive team working with students who are continuing to grow in communication, social understanding, and problem-solving.

This is a great opportunity for a SEN Teacher who enjoys a balance of structured learning and practical, real-life skill development. As a SEN Teacher, you’ll play an important role in helping students manage social situations, build relationships, and develop the confidence to tackle challenges both in and out of the classroom.

About the Role – SEN Teacher

As a SEN Teacher, you’ll be working with young people who are confident communicators and are becoming more independent, but still need support in key areas. In this SEN Teacher role, students will:

* Communicate clearly with intent and express their thoughts and needs

* Show awareness of others and engage socially

* Be developing resilience, flexibility, and independence

* Sometimes find social situations challenging and need guidance to navigate them

* Be able to access early subject learning, especially around thinking and problem-solving

* Be gaining autonomy, but still require encouragement to ask for help when needed

As a SEN Teacher, your role is to guide, support, and help students build the skills they need both in learning and in life.

What You’ll Be Doing – SEN Teacher

In this SEN Teacher role, you will:

* Deliver structured lessons with a focus on thinking skills and early subject learning

* Support students in developing social understanding and appropriate interactions

* Help build confidence, resilience, and independence

* Guide students through challenges and encourage problem-solving

* Support students to recognise when they need help and how to ask for it

* Create a positive, structured, and supportive environment

* Work closely with support staff and other professionals

* Celebrate progress and prepare students for their next steps as a SEN Teacher

What We’re Looking For – SEN Teacher

We’re looking for a proactive and supportive SEN Teacher who:

* Has experience working with SEN, particularly with learners building independence

* Is confident delivering structured lessons and supporting early academic skills

* Can support students with social development and emotional understanding

* Is patient, consistent, and encouraging

* Can manage behaviour positively and guide students through challenges

* Is passionate about helping young people become more independent

* Holds QTS/QTLS (ideal for a SEN Teacher role)

If you’re a committed SEN Teacher who enjoys supporting both learning and life skills, we’d love to hear from you
