Job Description

Do you want to work on thumb-stopping social media content, original campaign creative, and even the occasional broadcast commercial? Do you like the idea of working with celebrity athletes from the NFL, FIFA, Olympics and Formula 1? AND would you like to do all that for one of the world’s most recognizable brands and our fortune 500 clients? If yes, then introductions are in order.

We are Ad Hock. Visa's internal creative agency. Just as Visa founder Dee Hock revolutionized the way we pay, Ad Hock is taking a new approach to the internal creative team by developing a fully functional advertising agency in-house. We create high-visibility content to support every layer of the funnel starting with brand awareness. Approximately 75% of our efforts support Visa’s core brand and sponsorships. The other 25% of our work is dedicated to supporting Visa’s partners and clients as an external creative agency. It’s the perfect mix of client-side and agency life!

Our agency is rapidly expanding, and we’re looking for a graphic designer to help craft, develop, and deliver projects from brief to execution. You could be designing art for a tradeshow booth in Iowa one day and making Super Bowl content the next. Really.

The ideal candidate is one part dreamer and one part doer. You can conceptualize outrageous ideas and then find ways to ground them in reality AND you can take an ordinary idea and make it extraordinary! You’ve got strong design skills, a passion for creating beautiful work, and a desire to constantly improve your work. You’ll be joining an expanding team of creatives to produce content for digital, social, OOH, email, landing page, videos, commercials and even the occasional print ad.

This role sits on the creative team and reports to a Creative Director and is an opportunity to join the Go-to-Market team within Visa’s North America Marketing organization. You’ll be working with the best and brightest marketing, brand, and advertising teams the industry has to offer. Come join us!

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teams of creatives, marketers and external agencies and stakeholders to create a high volume of work on time, on budget and on point

Support and work cross-functionally with agency partners and internal Visa teams from briefing to production.

Participate in brainstorms, and deliver thoughtful creative that exceeds client objectives while utilizing existing brand elements correctly

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop on-brand, results driven creative

Creative: Brainstorming. Revising. Executing. You’ll be asked to do all these things and must know when to use the creative process to deliver fresh work and when to re-skin a template.

Brand: Become a subject matter expert on the nuances of a complicated global brand and its visual language.

Paying the bills: You will create a lot of social posts, occasional banners, some videos, a few environmental designs, landing page mockups and depending on skill-level or needs light motion graphics.

Leadership: Act as a creative and design subject matter expert, guiding clients through creative best practices and design elements

Project Collaboration: Create compelling work while considering the needs of multiple stakeholders (internal marketers, legal, external clients, etc.) and work cross-functionally to problem solve issues.

Support the sell-in and execution of B2B and/or B2C marketing campaigns and one-off projects by coordinating with Visa’s cross-functional teams, clients, and external agency partners.

Ability and desire to work directly with campaign leads, legal, and creative team to interpret briefs, identify insight gaps & build strategic frameworks for campaigns of all sizes.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
