Overview:
Kimley-Horn is looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing learning materials for in-person, virtual, and blended learning environments and managing internal training websites. The ideal candidate will have a mix of communication, writing skills, and visual design.
Develop course content (presentations, learning activities, assignments, assessments, etc.)
Create virtual learning content (e.g., eLearning courses, instructor-led courses)
Develop instructor lesson plans, rubrics, and other teaching tools
Edit and proofread materials for grammar, format, style, accuracy, and consistency
Create graphics and other visual for training materials and websites
Write and edit content for internal training platform and team website
Collaborate with internal partners to maintain and upgrade internal training platform
Support other instructional design team activities as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field
7+ years post-graduate experience
Strong attention to detail
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (or similar)
Strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint or other website design platforms
Travel up to 5%
