About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our dynamic team. As an SEN TA, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with SEMH needs across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your expertise will help create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Application Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs and/or experience working with SEMH students.

• Proven ability to develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEMH needs.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

• A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude towards supporting students’ individual needs.

• Experience in a similar role within a primary school setting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them to engage fully in the curriculum.

• Develop and deliver tailored interventions and strategies to support emotional and behavioural development.

• Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress and adapt support strategies as needed.

• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student confidence and resilience.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to regular reviews and assessments.
