Someone that is dedicated, conscientious, and a thorough Payroll Tax Specialist to handle all tax matters in our payroll team. Schedule (days/hours):
Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
Reconcile tax payments internally
Conduct research, analysis and resolution to payroll related tax notices and inquiries
Review and input tax rates and/or deposit frequency changes
Verify data for accuracy to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including organizational policies and procedures
Assist with payroll tax projects and processes
Help employees on all tax or payroll matters
Conduct regular payroll tax audits and reviews for accurate tax funding to ensure compliance
Ensure proper setup and maintenance of local withholding codes for employer and employees in the payroll system
Coordinate year-end efforts to ensure accurate W-2s and other annual tax filings
Qualifications:
At least two years’ experience working in payroll taxes
Expert knowledge of Excel
Expert knowledge of common HRIS systems (UKG preferred)
Working knowledge and experience processing and reconciling payroll tax returns with multiple tax states and localities
Knowledge of federal & state laws related to payroll and payroll tax compliance
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadline pressure
Service orientation and collaborative attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business and/or Human Resources
Compensation:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
