Position Summary
Equipment Experts, Inc. is looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Lakewood, WA.
The Full Charge Bookkeeper is a key contributing role that will oversee the organization’s finance record-keeping to ensure the business is able to make sound financial decisions effectively and efficiently. This includes the production of monthly financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and management of a comprehensive set of controls, budgets, and forecasting designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and bookkeeping principles and procedures.

Performance Objectives
Issue timely and complete financial statements
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to ownership
Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
Coordinate the preparation and compilation of year-end reporting, financial statements, and reconciliations for a certified public accountant (CPA) firm, for tax-return preparation
Reconcile all balance-sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Manage the company's audit (if applicable) and tax preparation by coordinating with external professionals as necessary
Requirements
Capabilities and Key Competencies
Solid GAAP and financial-reporting, technical skills
Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting software, MS Office Suite, Adobe, Windows, DocuSign, Google Suite
Working knowledge of taxation and corporate structures
Proactive approach to problem-solving, and process improvement
Ability to thrive in an environment of change and growth
Process development
Forecasting and solid analysis skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Auditing, accounting, and corporate financing
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, or equivalent business experience
Minimum 2 years experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
Experience with financial-reporting requirements
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
