Shifts: Full-Time & Part-Time | Days (7:00am - 7:00pm) | Nights (7:00pm - 7:00am) | Alternate weekends required

Meet Our Client
We are looking for compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support a gentleman in his mid-20s who lives with his family in Harborne.
He has a spinal injury and requires specialist support with his clinical care, rehabilitation and daily routines. Although he directs his own care, he relies on a dedicated 2:1 care team to support him both at home and out in the community.
Our client enjoys keeping active and spends his free time going to the gym, socialising and eating out. He is focused on his rehabilitation and is looking for carers who will encourage his independence while providing safe, high-quality care.
During the day, you'll support with personal care, moving and handling, rehabilitation, appointments, community outings and household tasks. Night shifts focus on repositioning, personal care, clinical observations and maintaining a comfortable environment throughout the night.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to build a positive relationship while supporting someone to live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering high-quality personal and clinical care
* Supporting rehabilitation and promoting independence
* Medication administration
* Moving and handling
* Bowel and catheter care
* Supporting with community access, appointments and social activities
* Completing clinical observations and overnight care
* Working closely with the client, family and wider clinical team
Clinical Experience
Previous experience supporting adults with complex healthcare needs is essential.
Experience with the following is desirable:
* Medication Administration
* Bowel Care
* Catheter Care
* Moving and Handling
* Supporting individuals with Spinal Injuries
* Understanding of Autonomic Dysreflexia (training can be provided)
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Have a minimum of 3 months' paid care experience within the UK.
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
* Be willing to complete client-specific clinical training.
* Hold a full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points) and be confident driving the client's automatic mobility vehicle.
* Be comfortable working around dogs.
Please note: Due to the nature of this care package, our client has requested female Healthcare Assistants to join their care team.
