The Role
As Deputy Manager, you'll work alongside the Registered Manager to provide outstanding care and leadership within the home.
You'll spend time both on shift with children and supporting the operational running of the service, helping to ensure every child receives consistent, therapeutic and child-centred care.
You'll lead by example, support the staff team, promote positive relationships and help create an environment where children can experience stability, belonging and meaningful opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
Building positive and trusting relationships with children.
Leading shifts and supporting staff to deliver excellent care.
Promoting a strong safeguarding culture.
Working in a trauma-informed and relationship-based way.
Supporting children's education, health and independence goals.
Coaching and developing staff members.
Supporting the Registered Manager with quality assurance, compliance and Ofsted readiness.
Deputising for the Registered Manager when required.About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working in children's residential care.
Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Has experience leading shifts and supporting colleagues.
Understands safeguarding and children's home regulations.
Is compassionate, resilient and child-focused.
Can challenge poor practice while supporting others to develop.
