Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Milton Keynes

At The Hamnet Way, we put children first in everything we do. We're looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading a stable, nurturing home where young people can thrive.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position combining shift leading, team development, and operational oversight. You will play a key role in ensuring children receive consistent, high-quality, trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities
Lead shifts and support staff to deliver safe, consistent care
Build strong, trusting relationships with children
Promote a positive, homely environment where children feel secure and valued
Champion safeguarding and respond effectively to concerns
Support staff development, supervision, and performance
Assist with compliance, audits, and Ofsted readiness
Deputise for the Registered Manager when requiredAbout You
Experience in children's residential care
Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent)
Working towards or willing to complete Level 5
Confident leading shifts and supporting teams
Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional judgement
Calm, resilient, and child-centred
