JOB TITLE – HR ADVISOR

Type: Permanent Location: Bridlington Salary: £35,000-£38,000

Job Summary:

We’re representing a HR Advisor opportunity with a long‑established organisation based in East Yorkshire. In this role, you’ll act as the first point of contact for all HR‑related matters, supporting employees and managers across the business and ensuring a consistent, people‑focused approach.

This position suits someone with a strong generalist background who enjoys being hands‑on, organised and proactive. Experience is helpful, but what matters most is your ability to communicate clearly, manage sensitive situations professionally and contribute to a positive workplace culture within a friendly and growing business.

Main Duties:

• Act as the first point of contact for all HR, recruitment and onboarding queries.
• Provide accurate, consistent and proactive advice to employees and managers.
• Support managers with investigations, disciplinaries, performance matters and employee relations.
• Manage HR administration including documentation, return‑to‑work processes, probation reviews and benefits.
• Coordinate occupational health requirements and maintain accurate HR system data.
• Monitor HR trends and provide insight to support continuous improvement.
• Support engagement initiatives, wellbeing activities and internal communications.
• Promote equality, diversity and positive working relationships across the organisation.
• Manage recruitment processes: advertising, screening, interviewing and coordinating new starter paperwork.
• Deliver induction training and check‑ins at key milestones for new employees.
• Maintain accurate right‑to‑work records and recruitment data for reporting and compliance.

Person Specification:

• Strong understanding of UK employment law, best practice and HR processes.
• Experience in a generalist HR role with confidence handling employee relations.
• Organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear communicator with the ability to build trust at all levels.
• Confident using HR systems and comfortable working with data.
• Positive, proactive and able to work independently when required.
• Strong time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Team‑oriented, supportive and committed to delivering a high‑quality HR service
