The Role – Behaviour Mentor
A welcoming primary school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join their team on a long-term basis. This rewarding Behaviour Mentor role involves supporting pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support to access learning and achieve positive outcomes.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils with ASD and challenging behaviour, providing tailored 1:1 support as well as assistance within the classroom setting. As a Behaviour Mentor you will help implement behaviour management strategies, support emotional regulation, and encourage positive engagement with learning. The successful Behaviour Mentor will be confident building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, while maintaining a calm and consistent approach.
Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs, ASD, or within a primary school setting is highly desirable. Team Teach training would be a significant advantage.
