Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - Islington
Full Time | Term Time Only | September 2026 Start
Up to £125 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Islington, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people with behavioural, pastoral or SEMH needs. You will work closely with teaching staff, Heads of Year and pastoral teams to help students overcome barriers to learning, improve engagement and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support across KS3 and KS4
Support students with behavioural, pastoral and SEMH needs
Implement behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Work closely with Heads of Year, SEN staff and teaching teams
Support students both in lessons and during intervention sessions
Promote positive behaviour, attendance and engagement with learningIdeal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting students with behavioural or SEMH needs
Confidence working within a secondary school environment
A calm, resilient and consistent approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
Background in mentoring, youth work, SEN or pastoral support (desirable)Location & Transport - Islington, North London
Accessible via Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line & Overground)
Close to Angel (Northern Line) and Caledonian Road (Piccadilly Line)
Excellent bus routes including: 4, 19, 30, 43, 271, 341
