We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Behaviour Mentor to join a welcoming school in the Harrow area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who require additional behavioural, emotional, and pastoral guidance, helping them to succeed both academically and personally.
About the Role
You will work closely with students who may be at risk of disengagement from education, supporting them to improve attendance, behaviour, confidence, and classroom participation.
The role may involve supporting pupils with:
* SEMH needs
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* ADHD
* Behavioural challenges
* Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
* Social and communication needs
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted behaviour and pastoral interventions
* Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
* Build strong, professional relationships with students
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies where appropriate
* Support attendance, wellbeing, and personal development initiatives
* Assist with behaviour management across the school
Requirements
* Experience supporting children or young people
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
* Experience within schools, youth work, care, sports coaching, or mentoring desirable
* Passion for supporting vulnerable learners
