Are you an ambitious and experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career?

A highly regarded Primary School in Haringey, North London is seeking an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant who enjoys both intervention work and classroom teaching responsibilities.

Unlike many support roles, this Higher Level Teaching Assistant position offers genuine responsibility and variety. You will lead targeted interventions designed to raise attainment, support pupils across the school, and regularly cover classes, including teaching a Year 5 class when required.

The school is looking for a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant who can inspire pupils, support teachers, and become a valued member of the wider school community.

The Role

Delivering high-impact interventions as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Teaching whole classes when required as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Covering a Year 5 class during teacher absence and PPA time
Supporting pupils to achieve their full academic potential
Working closely with class teachers and senior leaders
Helping to raise standards across the school
