A vibrant Primary School in **Haringey is looking to appoint a talented Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start.

This Higher Level Teaching Assistant role combines the best aspects of classroom support and teaching responsibility. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will lead intervention groups, support teaching and learning across the school, and provide planned class cover, including regular teaching within Year 5.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in raising attainment and supporting pupils' academic development while enjoying the opportunity to lead learning independently.

Key Duties of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Leading English and Maths interventions as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Delivering pre-planned lessons as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Teaching Year 5 classes when required as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Supporting pupil attainment and progress as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Working alongside teachers to identify learning priorities as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Requirements

Previous experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or experienced Teaching Assistant
Confidence delivering lessons independently
Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive and professional approachThis Higher Level Teaching Assistant role is available from September 2026 and offers a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming and ambitious Haringey primary school.
