Part-Time
Welfare and Housing Assistant required to support an established Charity. Working part time 17.5 hours a week, across 2-3 days alternating each week, shift hours are between 8am - 8pm and will include weekends and bank holidays. Hourly rate is £15.00 - £15.67 per hour.

The Welfare and Housing Assistant is required to provide an accurate and timely administrative service in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the Welfare and Housing department.

The purpose of the role is to ensure that residents who need additional care, support or supervision maintain their rooms, live safely, and can access services that help them to live independently.

Duties:

Ensure Residents understand and comply with Conditions of Residence
Assist service users to understand their rights and responsibilities with regards to welfare benefits
Provide practical help for residents with regards to accessing personal grants on their behalf
To carry out room clearance as directed by the Welfare and Housing Manager
Monitor the storage of residents' items in the baggage room and dispose of items
Carry out Risk and Needs Assessments as directed and monitor residents to manage their ongoing needs
Assist the Welfare and Housing Manager with investigating and dealing with any resident issues, complaints, or events
In conjunction with the Welfare Team fully investigate any resident issues, complaints or events
Follow the organisations debt management policy and procedures and act with regards to non-payment / arrears
Monitor and check service charge payments and housing benefit on a weekly basisBenefits:

£15.00 - £15.67 per hour
£13,650 - £14,259.70 per annum
Pension
Team eventsExperience and attributes required:

Knowledge or welfare and housing
Previous administration experience
Strong computer literacy to include Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills
