We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Newham.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
Support students with learning, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Help implement and monitor Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and personalised learning strategies.
Foster positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and wellbeing.
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, parents and external agencies.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, preferably in a secondary school setting.
Demonstrate patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.
Be proactive, flexible and committed to inclusive education.
Have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives.
Hold relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).
