Responsibilities:

Summary

The Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is responsible for providing HR expertise and support to field leadership. The primary responsibility of the HRG is to ensure compliance and daily operation of the organization’s Human Resource function. The HRG is responsible for ensuring department operations adhere to organizational policies and procedures in all matters related to Employee Relations (ER) matters, and industry requirements, while aligning with all applicable laws and regulations. This role reports to the Corporate HR Manager.

Responsibilities

Trains, manages, and develops Human Resources Coordinator (HRC)

Manages and ensures accuracy of employee data on all company platforms

Conducts training with employees on updates to policy and procedures

Addresses employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a confidential, fair, and compliant manner

Serves as a business partner to the Regional Manager

Advises on strategic issues while implementing HR practices to support and improve regional business results

Conducts investigations as needed in partnership with the field leadership team

Ensures federal, state, and local compliance with record keeping and personnel matters

Provides HR guidance to regional, district and operations managers as needed

Handles all Leave of Absence (LOA), ADA and Workers Compensation requests, including return-to-work communication

Participates in weekly HR and field leadership conference calls

Lead and support ad-hoc projects as needed

Partner with internal compliance team on all necessary field follow-up

Schedule - Days/Shift Time:

Monday-Friday 9am-6pm

Qualifications:

Relevant professional HR experience including managing direct reports

HR certifications (HRCI or SHRM)

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Ability to function and communicate effectively with all levels of employees within the organization

Ability to manage time and meet deadlines as directed by supervisor

Clear, effective, and concise verbal communication skills

Effective written and listening skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Detail-oriented, with specific knowledge of multi-state, federal, and local laws

Hybrid Schedule 3-4 days on-site; 1-2 days remote
