S&K Building Services is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a Staff Accountant who is team-oriented and self-directed to join our team!
As a valued member of our Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of the business. In this role, among other tasks you will be responsible for supporting the accounting team with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month end tasks.
This position will be located at our Headquarters |
What You'll Do
Cost accounting for 19 branches.
Reconcile bank and other balance sheet accounts.
Back up accounts payable: data entry, run AP aging, research, and prepare checks for mailing.
Back up accounts receivable: data entry, customer statements, and research.
File multi-state sales tax returns.
Record payroll in the General Ledger.
Research projects in leasing, tax, and insurance.
Administration of Fixed Assets
Month end reconciliation
Month end schedule preparation
Assist with audits
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are
You have 2+ years of relatable experience
You have an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field
You have knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
You have an understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
You are able to correctly prepare tax reports.
You are proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and QuickBooks
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
You reside in the Indianapolis, IN area
Nice To Have
You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
You have experience in field services industry or similar
What We Offer
Competitive Base Salary of $45,000 - $50,000
Weekly Pay
