Overview:

Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY), a multispecialty medical practice group, staffs several municipal hospitals and clinics within New York City through an affiliation agreement with NYC Health + Hospitals.  PAGNY’s corporate staff provides administrative, practice management and human resources services in support of its more than 3000 clinical providers.

Under the supervision of General Counsel, the Legal Assistant provides a wide range of support to the legal department.  The Legal Assistant is expected to complete all work with a high level of workmanship and quality and contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

Organize and maintain corporate records, correspondence, vendor contracts and other legal department documents

Assist in contract management process for vendor contracts including tracking, finalizing and coordinating signatures

Assist in corporate filings and applications

Track legal vendor invoice fees and payments

Track, manage, and assist outside counsel with pending litigation matters

Attend meetings and take minutes

Support General Counsel with administrative matters

Manage attorneys’ calendars, schedules, and appointments

Other administrative duties as assigned.

5 days per week on site required.

Qualifications:

Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum 3 years of significant in-house corporate experience, preferably in healthcare, hospital administration or large medical practice required

Paralegal experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong ability to deal with confidential information on a daily basis

Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously

Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel

Positive and proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ideal candidate will be a quick study; detail- oriented; work well under pressure and able to juggle multiple priorities; have excellent interpersonal, speaking and writing skills.  Looking for someone to take a hands-on role within a small but dynamic legal department.

Annual Salary = $55,000.00 - $65,000.00
