The primary responsibility of a Vendor Relationship Specialist is to be the liaison between contracted vendors and UWM Leadership and ensure all related processes running smoothly and service level agreements are adhered to.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for seamless vendor operations
Ensure that UWM and Vendor’s operational needs are aligned
Track and analyze vendor performance, expenditures, procurement and report about any possible or current blockers, risks, overflows, deficits
Collect management requirements and transform it into the vendor pipeline
Work with Vendor Relations and Facilities Teams on resource planning and timeline
Provide scope and requirements translate them into tasks, schedule and assign tasks
Work with team on vendor project work to keep vendor projects on schedule
Communicate to the vendor management changes to the project team
Track and analyze vendor project performance, cost performance and report to the leadership on the changes to vendor project scope, project schedule, and project costs, being able to suggest the improvements to all the above
Create and maintain comprehensive vendor documentation
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years experience in Vendor Coordination or Project Management
Have some working knowledge in food and hospitality services
Be a self-starter with strong independent work ethic
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work well with large and diverse teams
Ability to work under pressure
Translate requirements into tasks
Experience with task scheduling and resource assignment
Experience with project management practices and tools to create, manage, and track project performance, cost, verify scope.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
