Job Title: Clinical Nurse Manager - ICU

Location: Coos Bay, OR

Shift Type: Days

Hours/Day: 8 hours

Shift Notes: Day Shift 8-80 // 80-hours per two-week pay period

Salary: $105,000 - $140,000 annually

Job Overview:

The Clinical Nurse Manager - ICU is responsible for the daily and overall operation of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring optimal staff performance, patient care processes, and outcomes. This role focuses on maintaining patient/family satisfaction and ensuring prudent resource management within the unit. The position provides leadership in a fast-paced clinical environment, promoting excellent patient care and fostering teamwork among staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the ICU, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.

Lead and manage nursing staff, ensuring clinical competence, professional development, and performance evaluations.

Monitor and improve patient outcomes by implementing evidence-based practices.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a comprehensive care approach.

Manage patient/family relations, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

Optimize resource management to improve cost efficiency without compromising care quality.

Participate in strategic planning for department growth and improvement.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong nursing knowledge and skills in ICU operations.

Excellent judgment and effective critical thinking skills.

Flexible, able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities concurrently.

Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Ability to work effectively under stress and changing job requirements.

Demonstrates leadership, teamwork, and the ability to motivate and develop nursing staff.

Specialty certification in the ICU area Preferred.

Experience:

Five years of experience in an acute care hospital within the past 10 years Required.

Two years of managerial or leadership experience in the past five years Required.

Certification Requirements:

BLS (American Heart Association)

State License Requirements:

Oregon
