Salary Range: $105,000 - $140,000
Job Overview:
The Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) - Operating Room is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assigned units, focusing on staff performance, patient care processes, patient/family satisfaction, and efficient resource management. The role demands a leader who can manage changing priorities, ensure a high standard of care, and guide the team in the operating room setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee staff performance and ensure optimal patient care outcomes.
Manage patient care processes and ensure satisfaction for patients and their families.
Provide prudent resource management for the operating room.
Exercise good judgment and demonstrate effective critical thinking skills.
Work effectively under stress and frequently changing job situations.
Maintain punctual, consistent, and regular attendance.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in reading, writing, and conversing effectively in the English language.
Strong clinical knowledge and skills in operating room nursing.
Ability to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently.
Effective leadership skills in managing staff and patient care.
Proficient use of personal computer, phone, and general office equipment.
Adequate physical ability to respond to patient care needs quickly.
Physical/Mental/Environmental Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach frequently.
Adequate hearing, visual acuity, and color vision.
Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects.
Use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulation, transfers, etc.
Required to lift up to 75 pounds.
Use standard precautions due to possible exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
