We are looking to establish a dynamic new product team that will be responsible for the development and implementation of cloud-based big data solutions, specifically focusing on data movement, storage, and record retention on Cloud/AWS. The primary purpose of this service is to facilitate data archival and retention deletion, but it will also involve transforming and ingesting legacy data. We are currently seeking an experienced data engineer who can contribute to the team by assisting in the design, development, and support of solutions on AWS. Additionally, this role will involve enhancing and resolving any defects in the products and services created by the team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for continuous learning and applying new technical and business skills. A strong product mindset and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced, and ever-evolving environment will greatly benefit this team.

Qualifications:

These positions span a broad set of technical skills; Candidates with software development and big data experience along with a willingness to learn while working in a fast-paced challenging agile environment are encouraged to apply.

Ideal candidate will have the following: 

2+ years of experience programming with Python

1+ years of experience programming with Scala

Additional Desired Skills:

Experience working with AWS Glue, Spark, and Terraform

Experience with SQL and extracting data.

Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD systems, preferably with Gitlab CI

Experience in testing tools such as Junit/Cucumber

Experience handling Big Data datasets containing mixes of structured and unstructured data.

Experience in ETL (extracting, transformation, and loading) of data used in analytic discovery and production solution deployment across multiple platforms.

Salary Range: $82,786.28 - $156,200

For NYC and CT candidates:

Potential salary range: $82,786.28 - $177,500

Potential yearly incentive pay: 4%-12% of base salary
