Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Provide a comfortable and safe work environment by conducting maintenance, repair, support and installation of HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems across our Bloomington Campus facilities
Develop, coordinate and monitor implementation of projects and work tasks
Provide technical support/solutions to problems as they arise
Communicate work status and provide detailed analysis in a group setting
Items of Note
Job Code 5401 is not considered part of natural progression and the use will be based on business need and/or have limited incumbency in certain areas
May require travel by motor vehicle and/or commercial transportation and drivers license may be required
Overnight travel may be required. May be required to work beyond normal business hours, including varying shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on workload and as operations dictate
On-call duties may be required
May require activities such as bending, stooping, reaching, sitting for prolonged periods of time, climbing into confined spaces or repetitive motions
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and utilize team lifts or equipment to handle loads over 50 lbs
May be required to provide support during a catastrophe
Must be able to distinguish colors for AV, electrical and communication work and wiring
Must complete/maintain State Farm safety, regulatory and compliance courses specific to the role and may be required to fulfill local permit requirements
Qualifications:
Eligibility: To be eligible for an internship, candidates must be in an undergraduate, or post-graduate program with a graduation date of August 2025 or later.
Location: This position will be in an in-office work environment located in Bloomington, IL.
Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.
For Los Angeles candidates: Pursuant to the Los Angeles Fair Change Initiative for Hiring, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories.
For San Francisco candidates: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
For California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York and Washington State candidates:
Hourly Rate: $22.00/hour based on a 38.75-hour work week
Selected interns will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend minus applicable taxes.
Benefits: Interns are benefits-ineligible, except for Life Leave

Competitive candidates will be invited to participate in a pre-screening video interview in the Fall of 2024
