Part-Time
Ensure the safety and welfare of all enrolled children during all activities.
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, including arts and crafts, group time, science, indoor and outdoor games, and more.
Provide support and guidance to children in completing their homework assignments.
Foster positive character traits such as respect, responsibility, and empathy through structured activities and discussions.
Plan and conduct enrichment activities that promote creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Maintain appropriate standards for children’s discipline and behavior using non-punitive methods.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with classroom teachers, program co-workers, families, and other staff members.
Attend staff meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
Assist in maintaining and providing periodic testing of emergency response plans.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 12 credits of Early Childhood Education college coursework. A teaching credential, or BA is preferred.
At least 6 months full-time or one-year part-time experience working with children in a licensed child care center or elementary school.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. First Aid and CPR certification required.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
