Overview:
Join the Orthopedic Specialty Hospital at Mercy Medical Center and become a vital part of our healthcare team! Our deparment offers services in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions affecting the hips, knees, back, feet, ankles, and upper extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand). We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to provide exceptional care to our patients in both our clinic and operating room settings. The Physician Assistant will work primarily in the orthopedic OR, first-assisting a range of orthopedic surgeries including joint replacements, upper extremity surgeries, and sports-related procedures.
Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations
Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, MRIs, blood tests)
Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up
Assist with procedures and surgeries in the operating room
Assist orthopedic surgeons during various surgical procedures
Maintain accurate and detailed surgical records
Document patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic health records
Qualifications:
Must possess a Physician Assistant degree from an accredited school.
Must possess a State of Maryland Physician Assistant License, in good standing.
Certification Requirements - CPR
Min:
USD $45.22/Hr.
Max:
USD $81.40/Hr.
