Overview:
Primary Care Clinic in West Norman needs an outstanding patient friendly clerk for the front office. Come join our great team! Norman Regional Primary Care is built for healing with a focus on high quality, comprehensive preventative care. We are looking for outstanding patient friendly people to come be a part of our diverse, patient-centered, and community-focused team. We are a high-paced, high-volume department with engaged leadership offering opportunities for advancement, comprehensive coordinated care, and additional educational opportunities. NRHS is in the process of a transformational expansion project that will prioritize outpatient care with a continued focus on population health across the region. Responsibilities:
Provides excellent service to patients and visitors and quality support to physicians and other clinic staff.
Registers patients, verifies and enters accurate information, collects patient payments, answers multiple phone lines, schedules appointments, and performs various clerical duties.
Must have 6 months experience in the healthcare field, excellent communication skills, some knowledge of Word and Outlook, good data entry skills and a strong ability to multi-task.
Use of basic medical terminology and successful navigation of an electronic medical record are required for successful completion of essential functions of the role.
Qualifications:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Computer knowledge required.
Prefer additional education in medical terminology, electronic medical record training, or business classes.
Experience
One year clerical experience and six months healthcare experience are required.
Prefer medical office, insurance, hospital or computer experience.
Keyboard skills accurate 40 wpm.
Expertise in customer relations, telephone skills and computer applications is required.
(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Licensure/Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits
$13.74-$22.44/hr depending on previous work experience.
