Overview:
The Intermediate Care Unit is a fast paced 32 bed Stroke and ICU step down. IMC nurses are critical thinkers and highly skilled to rapidly assess a patient's condition and intervene with immediate attention. Common medication drips include Cardizem, Cardene, Heparin, and Amiodarone. We utilize our Norman Regional's core values of Integrity, Communication, Attitude, Results, and Engagement to not only provide excellent care to our patients and their families, but to maintain a culture of respect and safety while promoting teamwork as healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Manages and coordinates the delivery of all patient care services and supervision of personnel in the assigned medical surgical unit along with additional detailed involvement in other hospital projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education
Minimum requirement is AD or Diploma in Nursing.
BSN preferred.
Must be enrolled for Bachelor’s Degree within 2 years of job acceptance and show continual progress.
Experience
Four years experience as a registered nurse.
Prefer management experience.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure / Certification
Current Oklahoma license as Registered Nurse.
BLS.
Compensation / Benefits
Hourly rate based on previous work experience.
