About this Role:

As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the facility, ensuring both the safety of the food produced and the well-being of the workforce. This role focuses on implementing sanitation best practices, supervising sanitation staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards. You will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of hygiene, proactively addressing safety concerns, and contributing to the plants operational efficiency by maintaining cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate all aspects of plant sanitation, ensuring cleanliness meets company and regulatory standards.

Supervise sanitation staff, providing training on proper sanitation procedures and safety protocols.

Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and implement improvements to enhance sanitation efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure that sanitation processes align with production schedules and timely startups.

Address safety concerns in the work area, ensuring compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety guidelines.

Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and immediately report any quality or safety issues to relevant personnel.

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with associates, promoting a respectful and collaborative work environment.

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for sanitation staff, fostering skill growth and compliance with safety and sanitation protocols.

Work with management to create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficiency in sanitation processes.

Monitor and maintain compliance with all relevant sanitation laws, company standards, and OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

2 to 5 years of experience in sanitation management within the food manufacturing industry.

Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to direct staff and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to ensure workplace compliance.

Effective communication skills, capable of responding to inquiries and resolving complaints in a professional manner.

Proficiency in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company sanitation policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in food production sanitation with a focus on consumer food products.

Demonstrated knowledge of Hazard Communication policies and safety training.

Proven track record in improving sanitation efficiencies and implementing best practices in a plant environment.

Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation standards.

Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on safety and cleanliness.
