Pay Scale: £83.33 per day

GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant who can work with our client schools in Ashford. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs

Job summary:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your role will be to support students with a range of special educational needs, both academically and emotionally. You will work alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning experiences, helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential. This is a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference in students' lives.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities are to:

Assist developing and implementing tailored IEPs for students with SEN.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
Offer emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them build confidence and manage challenges
Supervise students during classroom activities and during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, essential requirements include:

Previous experience working with children with SEN needs is highly desirable.
Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred.
A patient, caring, and empathetic nature, with the ability to work with students who may display challenging behaviour.
Driving licence is preferable
An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
