Overview:

G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Certified NDT Technician to join its team in Channelview, TX.

Responsibilities:

Drive processes to continuously improve the business, enable next-generation manufacturing, and ensure compliance with all governing specifications, codes, and standards.

Administer the facilities NDT Program, responsible for NDT duties to include processes, procedures, techniques, training, qualification, and certification.

Experience in implementing or executing NDT processes, have a working knowledge of each technology and its strengths and limitations to ensure the proper inspection technique is used for the task.

Ability to troubleshoot, provide technical leadership, and correct NDE processes while maintaining product and process flow.

Serve as the primary liaison with customers on items of inspection.

Understand and interpret codes, standards, specifications, and customer requirements related to NDE inspection to meet manufacturing demands and compliance.

Develop and implement general inspection procedures and NDE method procedures and techniques.

Perform site audits.

Maintain effective communication and contact with Manufacturing and Quality to assure the operation of existing products into production.

Accountable in support of new and existing product line inspection requirements.

Consciously drive waste out of the NDT processes to increase quality and reduce inspection time and cost.

Collaborate with the groups to assure the correct levels of NDT services used on new and existing products are appropriate for their use in the field.

Continuously evaluate NDT processes to ensure the most appropriate techniques are being utilized and any new NDT techniques to improve throughput and cast are brought to fruition in a timely manner.

Interface with manufacturing to ensure all NDT aspects of customer requirements are understood.

Monitor and provide comprehensive reporting on the status of all NDT projects on a regular basis to all necessary parties requiring the information.

Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in support of manufacturing and quality as an ASNT NDT.

Must have a current certification - Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Computer literacy (including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Forecast issues in advance to prevent potential impacts; both internally and externally.

Able to define, work within and improve business processes based on immediate and future business needs.

Confident and professional when representing the company in person and in writing.
