Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an Experienced School Administrator to join a thriving secondary school in Stockport. This is a superb opportunity for a skilled administrator who is ready to bring their expertise to a new setting and contribute to the success of a busy school office. The role is available for an immediate start, and we are seeking candidates who are available to step into this role straight away.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Office Management: Acting as the welcoming face of the school, handling telephone and in-person enquiries from students, staff, parents, and visitors, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Attendance and Admissions: Overseeing pupil attendance records, managing admissions processes, and ensuring all documentation is up to date and accurate.
Administrative Support: Assisting the senior leadership team and teaching staff with a variety of administrative tasks, including correspondence, organising meetings, and producing reports.
SIMS Data Management: Updating and maintaining accurate records within the school's management information system (SIMS), ensuring that data is securely managed.
Finance and Procurement: Supporting the finance team with tasks such as processing invoices, handling petty cash, and managing orders and supplies.
General Administrative Duties: Completing day-to-day tasks such as filing, photocopying, and managing email correspondence to ensure the smooth running of the school office.

Essential Requirements:

Previous Experience: Demonstrable experience in school administration or a similar office-based role, ideally within a secondary school setting.
Proficiency in SIMS: Familiarity with SIMS (School Information Management System) is highly desirable and will be a key part of your role.
Strong Organisational Skills: A proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and remain organised in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with staff, students, and parents.
IT Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office programmes, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with an ability to quickly learn new systems.
Confidentiality and Professionalism: A high level of integrity when dealing with sensitive information, with a commitment to upholding the school's policies and safeguarding standards.
