Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a motivated and Experienced School Administrator to join a dynamic secondary school in Oldham. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and professional individual who can contribute to the smooth running of the school. The position is to start immediately, so we are looking for candidates who are ready to step into this vital role as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Reception and Front Desk: Acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, ensuring all enquiries are handled efficiently and courteously.
Attendance and Pupil Records: Managing student attendance, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the admissions process to ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant.
Administrative Support: Assisting the school's senior leadership team and teaching staff with essential administrative duties, including managing diaries, organising meetings, and preparing reports.
Data Entry and Management: Maintaining and updating the school's data systems, particularly SIMS (School Information Management System), ensuring that all pupil and staff information is recorded accurately.
Finance and Procurement: Assisting with the processing of invoices, handling petty cash, and placing orders for school supplies as required.
General Office Administration: Supporting the daily operations of the school office, including filing, photocopying, dealing with correspondence, and answering calls.

Essential Requirements:

Experience: Prior experience in school administration or a similar role is essential. Experience within a secondary school environment will be highly advantageous.
SIMS Proficiency: Familiarity with SIMS is a key requirement for this role. Candidates must be comfortable navigating and updating the system.
Strong Organisational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, work to deadlines, and remain calm under pressure is crucial.
Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for liaising with staff, students, and parents.
IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly adapt to new software systems.
Professionalism and Confidentiality: A commitment to maintaining high levels of confidentiality and professionalism, particularly when handling sensitive information.
