Job Opportunity: Works Manager – Social Housing (London Area)

Intrepid Global is recruiting for a dynamic Works Manager to join our client’s team, overseeing disrepair and void contracts in residential housing. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a team of operatives and deliver cost-effective, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee multiple sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

* Manage direct labour teams and subcontractors, ensuring they meet project specifications.

* Conduct validation surveys and ensure all staff are aware of schedules and timeframes.

* Maintain quality through a “right first time” approach and order materials to maximise productivity.

* Identify commercial opportunities to maximise profitability.

* Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld across all sites.

* Liaise with residents, client representatives, and the supply chain.

* Provide guidance, training, and manage accident reporting as necessary.

Experience and Qualifications:

* Strong knowledge of responsive repairs, voids, planned works, and social housing.

* Proven experience managing direct trades and multiple small projects.

* Relevant certifications (SSSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, CSCS Supervisor).

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

* IT literate with strong communication skills.
