Salary: £26,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
Location: Wednesbury
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Permanent, full-time position

If you have experience working with haulage and are looking for a new opportunity as a Fleet Administrator, then this could be the role for you? Due to recent growth within the company, our client are looking for another person to join their Fleet HGV team. You will be responsible for the administration and operator compliance of their HGV fleet.

Key Responsibilities of the Fleet Administrator:
To be an important part of a small fleet team, ensuring that you understand and contribute to the success of the function.
Support the transport team to ensure that the company complies with all fleet regulations and has effective up-to-date fleet management policies.
To agree and report on the appropriate measures to demonstrate continuous improvement in all areas of fleet management.
To work closely with the transport teams to ensure that our fleet management continues to meet the business needs both now and in the future.
To book and monitor the service and repair of all HGV assets, optimising supplier networks and achieving costs savings where appropriate.
To provide regular reports highlighting fleet performance, efficiency, compliance, maintenance, accidents, and other issues, with recommendations as appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of fleet vehicle maintenance and repair history.
To be involved in vehicle accident management and control and able to liaise effectively with insurance brokers as necessary.
To ensure all the necessary fleet records are kept, to demonstrate compliance.
To manage all internal and external working relationships confidently and effectively.
To ensure that the fleet team raises concerns to the appropriate line managers (and/or other team members as appropriate) in a timely way.
Requirements of the Fleet Administrator:
You must have previous experience of working as a Fleet Administrator within a company who has a large fleet of HGV assets, 100 trucks and 150 trailors which is due to grow over the next year.
It would be great if you are familiar with the systems and software used in fleet management and logistical environments including telematics, tracking, CCTV, fleet security, accident management etc.
You must have a full understanding of all relevant legal and compliance HGV fleet controls.
You must be able to work well under pressure and be tenacious and flexible.
You should have excellent report-writing skills, strong MS Word & Excel skills, and experience of using bespoke IT systems.
You should be able to demonstrate success in controlling and reducing HGV fleet servicing, repair and damage spend.
Strong organisational skills with a "can-d0" attitude and proactively adapting to change.
Able to work well in a team as well as independently.
Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service.
You must be commercially aware and experienced in controlling costs, with exposure to budgets and financial controls.
You should be a confident negotiator with proven supplier management experience.
