The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food to customers, ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures. This position reports to the Director of Food Service, Assistant Manager, Chef Manager, or Supervisor. This is an hourly, non-exempt role which is eligible for overtime.

This position is apart of union Local 100

Shift - 4pm - 12am

Responsibilities:

Prepares and cooks food according to company recipes and standards.

Takes customer orders and cooks food with short preparation times.

Assembles orders from the steam table and serves customers.

Transports food between workstations, stove, and refrigerator.

Food Safety/Sanitation:

Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.

Maintains cleanliness and order of equipment, supplies, and utensils.

Handles food appropriately during preparation.

Follows approved recipes and production standards.

Cleans equipment and workstation regularly.

Customer Service:

Represents the company in a courteous and efficient manner.

Greets and serves customers quickly, ensuring satisfaction and resolving complaints.

Understands daily menu items and communicates them accurately.

Maintains attractive food displays and efficient serving lines.

Physical Safety:

Adheres to sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment.

Immediately cleans up spills.

Standards:

Completes assigned tasks on time, following department standards.

Notifies supervisors when supplies are low.

Adheres to company attendance, punctuality, and appearance standards.

Works well with coworkers, avoiding conflicts, and assists as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Previous work experience as a cook

Hands-on experience with brewing equipment

Knowledge of sanitation regulations

Basic math skills

Excellent communication skills

Ability to move and/or lift 50lbs & stand/walk for the entire shift
