Swift Placements are seeking and experienced Quality Engineer to join an established business within Knowsley area. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement within their manufacturing processes.
Key Duties
* Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 requirements
* Ensure compliance to customer specifications
* Manage and resolve customer, supplier, and internal non-conformances.
* Conduct process and product audits periodically.
* Generate process related documentation including work instructions, quality alerts, PFMEA’s, control plans etc.
* Support with production trials
* Develop and report on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) within business.
* Oversee customer and internally driven engineering changes.
* Supervise and lead a team of 3.
Skills
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Working knowledge and hands on experience of quality tools including PPAP, FMEA & APQP.
* Experience utilising IMDS.
* Understanding of lean techniques and methodologies.
* Ability and read and interpret technical drawings.
* Experience operating CMM, Faro Arm and Polyworks.
* Attention to detail
