Are you passionate about working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Do you have experience supporting children with ASD, complex care needs, and other learning difficulties in a 1:1 setting?

LTF Recruitment is proud to offer this opportunity to join a dedicated special school in Barnet, London.

This long-term role involves providing 1:1 tailored support to students with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) issues, and care needs. You will play a crucial role in helping students engage with their learning in a safe, nurturing environment while promoting their emotional and physical well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to students with ASD, care needs, and other complex learning difficulties
Assist with personalised learning plans to ensure students' individual needs are met
Support students with their personal care and daily routines, ensuring dignity and safety at all times
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and other support staff to develop and implement effective strategies for student progress
Help foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging student independence and social skills
Monitor and track student progress, ensuring they are meeting their goals and reporting any concernsEssential Criteria:

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with ASD and complex care needs
Previous experience in a 1:1 support role
Patience, empathy, and a caring approach to working with children who have complex needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and parents
A proactive and flexible attitude to support students' varied needsDesirable Criteria:

Experience in a special school setting or similar environment
Training in personal care or related qualificationsAdditional Information:

Full-time, Monday to Friday
Paid £95 - £110 per day, term time only
Based in Barnet, London - excellent transport links
