We are currently looking to add a Transportation Engineer to our team. As a Transportation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
Prepare technical reports and memoranda associated with traffic engineering and transportation planning studies/projects, traffic impact analyses, and miscellaneous traffic studies based upon guidance of Project Managers
Complete tasks associated with transportation projects such as technical writing, assembling, collecting, and analyzing traffic data, and performing traffic operational analysis using specialized software and technical traffic engineering manuals
Analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for fiber, ITS device communications, network communications, and signals
Perform roadway safety analysis to assess existing safety issues and to predict the expected number of crashes
Develop and assess multi-modal conceptual roadway design alternatives to improve traffic and or safety operations of an intersection or corridor based on future travel demand
Conduct reviews of traffic engineering analyses and traffic impact studies on behalf of cities, counties and the Department of Transportation, including documenting the review comments and guidance in formal correspondence
Analyze problems and develop innovative engineering solutions for traffic congestion or safety problems on freeways and local roads
Perform field reviews to verify existing geometric and traffic conditions, signal timing, traffic queuing, conflict assessment, and travel times
Attend meetings and/or teleconferences to represent work products and or to collect information related to project assignment
Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense report
Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals
Knowledge of signalization or ITS, general roadway design, and some electrical engineering.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as urban/transportation planning, transportation engineering, or civil engineering
4 - 6 years’ experience preferred
P.E licensing or ability to obtain within 6 months
