Overview:
Salary range for this position is $79,019-$92,955; Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing projects (or components of projects) of varying complexity through design and implementation to achieve division goals and objectives. Serves as a key enabler of process improvement activities with OSF Healthcare system by contributing in and where directed, leading people, process, and technology integration. Is responsible for adhering to department Standards of Performance relative to project execution and performance improvement.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:
Translates business objectives into requirements in order to prioritize, initiate, and structure business process redesign and projects to achieve desired outcomes with assistance or direction.
Utilizes Divisions' project change controls.
Develops and manages detailed project work plans including the definition of key activities and tasks, the allocation of appropriate resources, the delegation of activities to project team members, and the execution of activities and tasks.
Provides verbal and written project status reports to internal and external leadership.
Proactively identifies and manages project issues and risks, escalating when appropriate.
Develops and maintains project budgets from initiation through completion of project.
Follows the project management standards defined by division standards.
Leads project teams by demonstrating the ability to effectively lead team members, facilitate team discussions, understand group dynamics, and consistently achieve outcomes through the team process.
Provides content and process knowledge and technical and analytical guidance for project teams.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Bachelors Degree OR Completion of High School or its equivalent and a minimum 3 years experience managing projects.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with key OSF applications. Experience managing components of a project. Experience using information technology in the healthcare industry. Experience with application implementation or support in the healthcare industry. Other requirements/information: Experience participating on a project team. Experience with application implementation and support. Experience with processes and their interrelationships
