Job Title: Retail Shop Manager
Location: Derbyshire, UK
Up to £12 per hour
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Shop Manager to join our client’s store located in the heart of Derbyshire, Bakewell. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, excellent customer service skills, and experience managing a dynamic environment that includes both retail and café operations. As the manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, managing staff, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of the gift store, ensuring the store is well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
* Manage stock levels, order inventory, and ensure timely replenishment of products.
* Implement and oversee merchandising strategies to boost sales and enhance the customer shopping experience.
* Handle cash management, budgeting, and financial reporting
* Ensure the highest level of customer service in both the retail and café areas.
* Handle customer complaints and queries in a professional and efficient manner.
* Build strong relationships with regular customers and enhance customer loyalty.
* Ensure that the store and café comply with all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to by all staff
Personal Profile
* Proven experience in retail management, ideally with some experience managing a café or food service environment.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in staff management and development.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations for both retail and food service.
